Facelift Grill for my 1997 B5

Hi, can someone tell me whether or not the facelift grill is a direct replacement. I have a standard grill on my car at the moment, and would like to fit a facelift one as it looks a little better, and for the £29 they are selling them for on eurocarparts website I thought It might be worth a go. However the guy on the phone said that this would not fit my car.

Any ideas ?

i've just baught one from a chap on here and afaik they are a straight swap, although i've not got it nor tried to fit it yet.

People fit RS4 grilles to other models all the time, and the RS4 is a facelift car.

All B5 grilles are interchangeable.
