Outer CV joint boot clamp

Where can I get a decent CABLE/ZIP TIE of suitable thickness and length for the outer (wider) end of the outer CV joint boot? I trecked down to Maplin and got their longest ties and, well, they weren't long enough. It's just a temporary fix until I can get the real "Oetiker" clamp on.

Do Laser do a proper tool for the Oetiker clamps which I can pick up from GSF or Halfords etc?

Alternatively, any tips for getting the Oetiker clamps on without the tool?

Failing that, where can I get a zip tie which will fit? I just want to get it sealed temporarily and I will get the garage to fit the Oetiker clamp when I MOT it.

i usually just fit two zip ties chained together...

The important bit is ensuring the rubber boot and the seating surface is properly grease free, if it is it'll stay on just fine with cable ties.

you can get the proper metal ones form Murray Macdonalds IIRC
