A4 1.8 N reg central locking

Hi,

I'm not actually sure if it's a problem as I got this car almost 2 weeks ago. This is more of a query. Central lock is not working if I lock the door on drivers side only when I lock it through the passenger side.
Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like the switch in the lock barrel is dead to me. Or perhaps the wiring to/from the switch.

but it's working when I lock the door outside using the key

i'm confused... you just said it only works with the passenger door...?

Unless you mean the outside works on both doors but pressing the pin down on the drivers door from the inside doesnt?

yes aragorn, outside works on both doors. pressing the pin down on the drivers door inside doesn't work.

i've never actually tried locking my doors while i'm inside the car, so ive no idea if thats normal or not.
However it expect if it is supposed to lock, its still likely to be the switch inside the drivers door thats broken. Perhaps there are two switches, one for the key and one for the pin itself.
