whats your current one got on it, is it the same frequency, remember chip is in top of key, so if u wanna save yourself the money take chip out of old key & put in new one, but be warned its glued in ****** well & the chips break very very easily.
Alpine, won't work. '96 cars didn't come with a remote key, as far as I'm aware, but I may be wrong.
And those that did from '97 - '99 wouldn't respond to the 3-button type either, as the 3-button fob was only introduced on facelift cars, where the third button operated the trunk.
The receiver for the above key in your post is built into the twin-vacuum pump itself, '97 - '99 cars were single vacuum.
