Blower fault :(

Last night I noticed my heater was making a clicking noise which changed with the speed setting of the blower. Today I started the car and noticed the blower didn't come on at all but after about 5 mins of driving it whirred into life and was fine up until I parked at the inlaws. Came out an hour or so later and again the blowers were dead until about 10 mins into the journey home when the whirred into life again and where fine the rest of the way. The clicking noise has now gone but I want the blower to work when I want it to not when it fancies joining the party. Any idea as at the moment I'm stumped

Brushes gone, best fix is a new motor, around £60 from ebay new ( Valeo)

One of the easiest jobs on an Audi. Remove glovebox, remove 2 or 3 bolts on a metal bracket, then 3 screws and it's out.

My blower seems to have a mind of its own. This morning on the way to work i put the heater on the second bar, when i floored it the heater turned itself up nearly onto full blast.
Its not a problem, i just find it odd!
