    Scroll SP51 Hybrid K03-4 Turbo thread

    I think we should have a dedicated thread to this Hybrid Turbo as there are a few and as a few of us have had our K04's and K03's converted I think we should have all the info here for everyone able to follow.

    i'm interested in you saying the K03 can be converted?

    Does this mean that instead of trying to find a dead k04-015 and sending that off to be overhauled and upgraded we can use the surely more plentiful dead OE k03 turbo?

    If so that makes it an even more tempting deal!

    I think that you can "upgrade" the K03 for a n extra charge, dependent on availability of cores at the time. Mine was a k03 sp1 and i had it upgraded to k04 sp1x Outlaw.

    As I understand the K03 turbo can only have the standard SP51 upgrade which would bring it in to the K03S turbo range but the K03S can be modified to produce K04-15 power figures where as the K04-15 can be modified to the K04-23 (TT225) Turbo spec that can be tuned up to around 280bhp although I think 265-275 is the norm.

    Well I think there may be a grey area here which I hope Sean can clear up but if whats said that even more impressive then that Bryzan turbo is in fact a K03.

    The core i sent was my old K03, i then traded it for a k04 core i think as a returning customer for a small fee

    SP51 /R/X/Outlaw Upgrade $500-$650 250-325 approx (Depending on the state of your Turbo) Sean takes payment in Dollars
    FMIC from 250- 400
    380cc Injectors 70-100 second-hand
    3" TT MAF 30-60
    Exhaust 350-550 New
    Remap 250-350
    Upgraded Silicon Hoses both sides (eBay) 120
    Clutch Stage III 250-350 (Recommend Southbend)

    You don't need to go injectors MAF route but I think this will yeld the best results although this is to be proven.
