Noisey Evap Valve

Hey Guys,

I seem to have a noisey Evap valve( the one which sits on top of the airbox)

Is it common for it to tap/tick away like mad. Ive disconnected it which shut it up but Ive plugged it back in for now until I can find a replacement. If its rebuildable then Ill rip it apart but its a wee plastic unit so can timagine thats the case.

Any suggestions as to why its so noisey?

Well Ive disconnected it and taken it for a 100+ mile run with no un toward effects.

the ticking is the vavle opening and closing which is normal

should it be audible over the engine tho??

I can hear it in the cabin.
