Audi modifying their cars??

Looking through PH and spotted a 2000 1.8T QS for sale but the seller wrote this:

When new it had clear lexus lights, full stainless steel exaust, induction kit, chipped, remapped and a rear spoiler these were all supplied and fitted by audi so the warrant wasnt affected.

I find this hard to believe. Has anyone heard of Audi doing such a thing?

nope, but a dealer _may_ have modified the car...

That would still be classed as aftermarket mods though and the seller is clearly talking mince when they claim its been chipped AND remapped

Thats more unusual as i had no idea they made pre facelift 1.8T Quattros. So its likely a 1.8T with a quattro badge stuck to the grille aint it?

Audi did make pre-face lift Quattro A4's just not here in the UK.

Saw an S4 in Audi Reading today brand new with OZ sport alloys on, and a funny spoiler on the back, so maybe they do sometimes?
