whats biggest wheel size for stock A4 SE (1998)

whats the biggest wheels my Audi will take - that will fit the stocks chassis\arches!? i.e a simple mod, with money not really an option?!

if yuo are in UK, please post some links to tyres that mine will take!

i just want to improve the look of my standard 1.8

I put 18s on my 2.8q with no further alterations. I think 19s may fit but some say they don't suit the look! My tyres are 225/40 18

I have 18s on my a4 1.8t, they are the same rolling radius as the standard 16s so there is no proble running them at all.
