My rear shocks have sagged lots so i found a second hand set of 4 dampers and springs from an S4 but I'm thinking of putting RS4 springs on them when i fit them. I know this is not ideal but it's only my daily drive.
Is this possible and if so what are the part numbers I'll need? When i rang my local Audi dealer they said there are 3 different ones.
My car is a 1999 S4 avant 2.7T

Ok if the rear is sagging then it the spring that are your problem and not the shocks but if you fit RS4 springs to your car it will in fact lift the car but I think there was a thread on here for some H&R spring for a S4 up for grabs.

The shocks will be fine on a S4 it would be like an upgrade.

RS4 rear springs will actually be fine on an S4 Avant.

Rear weight is similar, it won't raise your car.

It's the fronts that are a no-no, as the RS4 is a lot front-heavier.

Am i wrong in thinking they did a 2.7t RS4 that would be the same weight as mine.
I'll have a look for a set of after market springs aswell then.

correct, but to be honest it is not much
I have RS4 edition KW v3 coilovers on my 1.8t (the weight listing is higher for these vs the 1.8t) and they are fine, slightly higher spring rating AFAIK.

Rear axle weights are the same on S4 / RS4.

Heavier brakes on the RS4 rear, but it's all unsprung weight.
