If there is a size difference just change the internals and youse your same housing as the turbines will be different.

What would the benefits be of replacing the K03 with a K03s? My car has already been chipped so would it need to be remapped if a different turbo was fitted? Secondly, how easy would it be to change the internals from one to the other?

Re: S4 k03 99 turbo to 97 1.8 t sport ?

had a chat with turbo technics (Giles) in northampton

they say the outlet is wider and the orientation of the s4 turbos is different, making it awkward to fit.

so no it isn't easy to do, sounds like some excursion could handle but not me

Personally i would go for the KO4 Sport turbo, with the right setup you could see 225 from standard on a 1.8T a4.
It is kind of tricky to do an internals cahnge over but it is possible, just need the right tools, i have expericed this with other turbos so im not 100% on the KKKs. So dont take what i say as gospel.
