Facelift 2001 mirrors onto a pre-facelift 1996

has anybody done this or know what is needed? I have a set of facelift mirrors bought from fleabay and the come with motors glass casing and lower caps, is this all I need to fit them?

secondly has anyone heard of a chromline a4 (2001)
I bought these as they are supposed to be genuine A4 chrome mirrors, they have arrived and are ABS not alluminium, they have a brushed chrome look to them and have audi part numbers on them (8e0 857 508 B) I disputed they are genuine with seller but he claims they are from a chromeline?

any ideas?

Complete facelift mirrors bolt directly to pre-facelift cars.
Electrical connectors are also the same.

Your second purchase are Audi A4 B6 S-Line mirror covers.
They have a dull matt look, but are ABS plastic.
They are NOT compatible with B5 items, pre or post facelift.
