CAT Beaking up

Hi, the cat on 1.8T sport is stating to go. I would like some advise please.

Audi dealer price: £350.00 + vat

Milltek High flow Cat: £467.00 incl vat + delivery.

German & Swedish : about £100 ( but I heard there crap)

My car has a remap but the exhaust is standard except for the back box which is Scorpion.

Can I fit the Milltek cat to a standard exhaust!

Hit the crap out of it with a hammer until all the ceramic breaks up and comes out the back. You got yourself a cherry bomb!

At least thats what I did on my Gsi Astra 16v. Sounded mental.

I had same problem until i found a web site that was cheap and the cats was about about £75 each my car needed 2 of them as it was a 2.6 quattro but now changed the model to 1.8 t quattro. The web site you need to look at is www.cats4less.co.uk its good quality and you can ring them for advice.

Are there any other problems when gutting the cats?

MOT failure is one.
PM me I have an OEM 1.8t cat from a 1999 QSport 180bhp.

And you will get a funny drone from the empty can/cat. Sounds awful. (well it did on my Cav)

I went aftermarket and she sailed MOT, not bad for £60
