    Wheels

So i've been looking at wheels for the car but ive realised i'm not going to be able to afford any in the near future. The existing rims are needing some tyres so it got me thinking and i cracked out some photoshop

Decided that it shouldnt cost me too much to spray the existing wheels and by the looks of that picture should look pretty cool. I've got some facelift headlamps to go on which ive taken apart and am going to spray the chrome internals black (bar the reflector on the main beam), add some smoked side repeaters and a dechromed grille and i recon it could look pretty sweet without spending too much cash...

Any thaughts? Anyone got pics of similarly styled cars?

    Cheers

    Kevin

But if you need a full set of tyres, it may prove more economical to get a set of tyres and rims from ebay for say 400 and then save you having to do the work on the rims.

thats how i reesoned it out, cost around 100 more than just buying the tyres, and thats without the prices of paint and stuff you would need to do yours

only need rear tyres though and a set of Eagle F1's should cost me around 120-130

Few tins of paint arent going to be too expensive either i hope and although i'd rather use basecoat/clearcoat than acrylic from rattle cans its probably too much of a hassle taking the wheels to my mates to use his compressor...

its a long shot, but is there anyone in central scotland that has one or two spare a4 wheels i could borrow for a few weeks to allow me to take the current wheels off and paint them?
I'd be prepared to buy them if it was cheap?

doesnt have to be matching or even an alloy, as long as its got legal tyre!

    Fingers crossed
