Sweet jeeeebus,...............so THAT'S what massive brakes do to your face :jump:

.

Sounds like she should be in tip-top shape now.

How much did that set you back, if you don't mind me asking?

Well, I sourced the front brake set-up and Red Stuff pads (and the tank sender/battery/wipers), and he supplied the rest and fitted it all.

£350 parts

£350 labour

VAT

£40 for the MOT.....................

Total £866.

Feels like a new car again now :)

No knocks, no clunks, no beeping ****** dashboard!!!! lol

Very reasonable I thought.

And oddly enough, a couple of buildings away is this (the Porsche/Audi specialist)..........http://www.carreraperformance.com/servicing_repairs.htm It would've cost a LOT more there though.

What brakes are those? B5 RS4 ones?

Will be nice to have everything in good working order.

Yeah, 14".............360mm :)

I managed to buy the whole front kit for 40 quid LMAO!!!

A very light/slow skim and chamfer to the discs by a mate cost £20, and I bought some caliper paint off Ebay..........

Then some Redstuff pads for £85 delivered from Ebay......

I've had the RS4 rears on for a while now too.........

Looking good, but when are you going to get rid of those hideous wheel caps and get some proper Audi ones?

Lol, I'd never noticed a difference TBH :)

I'm more interested in getting rid of the gay Halfords mirrors that somebody fitted first.............

How do you find the red stuff pads as ive got them on my porsche and find they dont have much bite untill they are properly warmed up ??

Looking very nice, and gay is a polite word for those mirrors ;)

I find the same. They are not bad when warm but I've had a few '**** your
pants' moments when cold. I'm basically a cheapskate but will do it properly
and get Pagid next time.

Yep, they're SOOOOOOO much better when warmed up, but they still bite better when cold than the hopeless standard S4 brakes :)

I might try Pagid next time maybe.

Which Porsche do you have by the way?

I used the red stuff as the car is being converted for mainly track use so the cold bite wont be much of a problem, its a 944 turbo and i also have a 944 S2 as well .

A set of RS4 ali mirrors would make the car look perfect!
