    What Oil for my 1999 2.8 quattro?

    going to do a oil change this weekend if I have time, what oil is best for the v6? Its done 95k if that makes any diff.

    I'd just use regular 10W-40

    Elss win says use anything if nothing else is around butanything between 0-40 to 10-40w semi or full synthetic i get get mine about 13 a gallon for cheron 5-40 from cost co

    i use castrol edge 0w-30 in my 2.4 v6, seems to warm up quick so good for short journeys, requires the odd top up now and then and 15 a litre not cheapest about.

    thanks for the advice guys, will prob go for a middle ground of 5 - 40 then

    i use mobil 1, 0w 40.
