I remember reading somewhere that A4's have an aluminium bodyshell but I am not sure if this is correct or is it just galvanised? Anyone know the truth? Also I notice the new A3 is only partially galvanised, is this correct and why would they do this?
Cheers

You won't have any corrosion problems if you buy a well looked after car, they just don't rot /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

A8's have a full aluminium space-frame, and the A2 is also aluminium.

I should imagine the new A3 is partly galvanised as there is no need for such treatment on the upper body. Saves cost and production times /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
