MPG for a 2.8 Quattro 30v

I have just test driven a R plate A4 avant 2.8 quattro. The computer didn't get chance to calculate an average fuel consumtion as the test drive was from cold start. Is 25mpg realistic when cruising?, or could I expect more?

Mine's a Tiptronic (saloon), & I get around the 21mpg mark in town driving, 25mpg on the open road, & just about 30mpg on a motorway cruise.

Thanks, that sounds good, I am getting 25mpg from my impreza, so am used to poor fuel comsuption, but will gain about 400 pound a year on insurance.
