Brake servo has died.....

Right, i think that my brake servo has died, if you put you foot on the pedal then start the car the pedal should drop, but currently it is not, i am guessing this could be the servo, but is there anything else that could cause it?

Also where can i get a new servo, if it is that, i rang my local audi and they quoted £220ish for a servo and a vaccum pipe which currently i can not afford.

Any help will be apprieciated

Is there any way of cehecking for a vaccum leak?

presurise the hoses that conect and see if you get any leaks ,usually its one off the crankcase but never tried it on a b5
