New to the Audi A4 family so have some questions....

Hello everybody I am new to the forum and to the Audi car all together so I had a few questions. I was wondering if you guys can answer some....:icon_thumright: thnxxx!!!

first question that comes to my mind is....

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A 1.8T AND A 2.8T?
i know a 2.8 is a bigger engine but I want more detail...

second question....

DOES THE B5 COME TURBO??? AND WHAT IF I WANTED TO MAKE IT TURBO????

1.8T is the 1.8 Turbo 4-cyl and there isn't a 2.8T. i think there is the 2.8 v6 or is it a 2.6, others will know but they are normally asperated.

1.8T is very tunable engine

ok so heres the thing.... it is a v6.... maybe its a 2.6... ahhh i have to make sure... i still have to pick it up thats why i am not so sure... so the T stands for Turbo... ok figures...duhh!

2.7T is the S4 (V6 bi-turbo) or RS4.
265bhp on the S4, compared to 150-180 on the 1.8T (depending on year/model).
S4 is also quattro as standard, but I'm guessing if you already have the car then you'd know it was an S4.
Look in the spare wheel well in the boot and the manufacturing sticker will tell you the power output of the engine in kW.
194kW = S4
142kW = 2.8Q
110kW = 1.8T
103kW = 2.6 V6 (approx)
etc etc

2.7 30V 6 cylinder, 265PS (S4 Biturbo)
2.7 30V 6 cylinder, 380PS (RS4 Biturbo)

Diesel engines available in the B5 A4 are:

1.9 8V 4 cylinder, 75PS
1.9 8V 4 cylinder, 90PS
1.9 8V 4 cylinder, 110PS
1.9 8V 4 cylinder, 115PS
2.5 12V 6 cylinder, 150PS

Of course, it doesn't have to be these engines, a 3.6 / 3.7 / 4.2V8 would fit nicely...
