On Board Computer

Hi,
1998 UK Audi a4 1.8t sport.
The onboard computer goes on and off and resets itself. Could this be loose wire? dodgy fuse? dodgy electricals?

Is there anything I can check or do myself before I have another expensive garage trip!?

I think there's another post on this subject, fairly recent too. Have a look back at post over the last month or so.

I think It's a known problem and could well need replacing.
