    PERFORMANCE PROBLEM 1.8T

    got slight performance problem on 1996 1.8turbo...it seems to have lost some power. my boost gauge only just sometimes manages to get to 6psi you dont really feel the tubo kick in really. i know the bov are very prone for losing boost over very short useage? do you think this cud cure my problem?

    What BOV do you have ?

    Check for some boost leaks.

    got standard stock set up so far. im so confused with all this stuff ive got a k+n and i hear a whooshh from the car i assume the bov is a dump valve?? just a different name? im about to get a forge fast road diverter valve its a round item with 3 pipes going to it that is a dump valve isint it??

    YEs you need a recirc valve thats correct

    FACELIFT 99.5

    Baileys DV30 valve, Tinted windows, Xenon H.I.Ds, Bosch Aerotwins.


    Planned mods: Rieger Kit,Engine Tuning, Leather sports seats.

    well if my valve recirc then why do i hear the woooshhh sound when throttle lift off??
