Evening Chaps,

Just a quick post to see if anyone has any experience of vehicle inspections?

Im looking at picking up a second car for the gf (one that I can play with too!), but so far those that looked interesting are miles away.

Been looking at high miler S2 Avants, but really want someone to give the car a proper going over, to save draggin myself all over the country to look at sheds.

Found one that looks ok nr Manchester, but there's no danger of me being able to get a look at the car anytime soon due to work commitments.

Any thoughts guys?

I was wondering the same when I wsa gonna buy an M3 but changed my mind, I'm sure I read on the AA's website that they only do cars < 10 years old. So that might stuff the S2 idea at least for the AA anyways.

Might be worth finding someone or a renouned specialist to take a look at it.

Thanks Jpc, I've had a long hard think and my concerns over transmission/suspension/turbo problems on high mile (130K+) S2s have put the idea on a back burner for the moment.

Think I'll concentrate on modding the A4 for the moment, and look at something a bit more sensible for the gf.

If you were closer, I'd have given the car the once over for you.

But Scotland, sheesh!

Aberdeen as well i'm right on the border and it's still a 3hr drive for me! Class night out tho was out up there the other Sat watching a m8s band.

Yah, I am right out the way up here - although it is considered the oil capital of europe lol (I work for BP).

I have travelled further before to see a car (Grimsby), but that was a main dealer and it was a nearly new car.

Manchester was just a bit to far for me this time.

Cheers
