COMPUTER DISPALY PROBLEM

Hi all,
this is my first post out here. I am a new owner of an Avus RS4 B5, just bought a couple of weeks ago.
Great car, very enjoyable. But I have a problem. A couple of days ago my computer display became blank. Tried to press all the buttons on the dash but without luck.
Do you have any suggestions on that?

button on the bottom of the right hand stalk...turns it back on again....
otherwise have you checked all fuses?
new clocks will be pricey

yup, as above, don't hold it down though or you might reset the trip computer etc
