I took the car into the garage a few weeks back and he took the belt for the AC compressor off as it was making noise and the bearings on the clutch were failing. At the time I didn't thnk it was that bad so I got them to put it back on. It's now overheating etc. and making a lot of noise.
I'm thinking the easiest thing is just to cut the belt rather than take it back to have it taken off at the garage (the price of a new compressor is cost prohibitive)
Anyone have similar problems or suggestions on whether this is the best course of action.
Thanks

Thas weird it could be too tight but not sure that would cause the problems, cutting it would help to see what the problem is but what happens if its the same after the belt is removed, you would need to buy another one.
