Hi, noise sounds a bit like a loose shield behind the disc, but isn't.
It happens over bumps, not all the time, also, it appears to stop when the brakes are applied, even gently.
Could it be the pads somehow?

could be caliper sliders. not sure what the calipers are like but I had something similar on a mk2 golf.
the caliper is basically rattling on its sliders, applying the brakes stabilises it and stops the rattle

if its a light clatter its probably just brake pad chatter ie see if you can wiggle the pads about while still in the caliper , i had this and ended up putting silicone on them ..... but one started to do it again lol

It's more of a sloid noise than pad rattle etc, bit like a stone hitting a shovel kind of tone to it - if that makes sense?!
It's been up in the air and looked at, wiggled, banged and rocked but nothing was obviously loose.
