I suppose if you haven't got a laptop its ok. Can't see the point otherwise, as you can buy a vag-com lead and the software for not that much more. You can't change any settings or use measuring blocks with it ?

I thought a vag com licence was like 300 quid? otherwise i wold have bought it!
