S4 Facelift question?! !

I always thought mine was facelift, until I went to see Dr Al from RS246 in hospital last week.
HELP!!

How is the Doc? it was a pretty bad impact from what i've read.

anyway, to answer your question.

facelift has the following (this isn't an extensive list by the way)

digital clock instead of analogue
one piece door handles instead of 2 piece
rectangular side repeaters not square
washer jets hidden under the bonnet not mounted in the bonnet
one piece headlamp and indicators
rear lights have reversing lights to the bottom of the light unit not the top side
boot lid has hidden "touchpad" under number plate light recess not button in middle of lock plinth
centre consol switches are wide rather than tall
cover over battery tray, not fitted on pre facelift
don't think pre facelifts have the night vision lighting in the o/head consul either

Dave, yer a good un! Doc's doing well, he's a bit messed up but alive and keen to get better! Should be seeing him again this week too!
Mine has all of that bar the digi clock!
Im just worried my exhaust is going to digest itself through the turbo's!!

ahhh that's a tricky one, forgot about the manifolds. early cars were prone to de-laminating, facelift cars had the RS4 manifolds that didn't suffer from that, it's hard to tell which yours are, seems like you have a 99.5 car if you have the analogue clock and the other features. i wonder if a stealer could tell you from your chassis number?
