    BOOST??

    how much PSI should a stock 97 b5 a4 1.8T producing???



    1997 audi a4 1.8T fwd
    mods:
    custom intake, testpipe,Exhaust, turboXS manualboostcontroler,brembo rotors
    future mods:
    frontmount intercooler, rieger rs4 style body kit, dual angel eye projector headlights, smoke tail lights

    0.5 bar = 7.25188689 psi

    yeah mines pushing close to it sometimes i got it up to around 9psi dont know how cuz i have a boost gauge and i glanced at it and it was reading 9psi is that a good or a bad thing?

    It may spike at times slightly higher. I wouldnt worry unless it goes a fair bit over.

    Get a remap though then you will get the gauge to go higher.

    Where they upload some code onto your ECU which will adjust the fuel and boost control and etc which gives you much more power 35+ BHP

    You'll find that peak boost is well before the redline (and is quite literally a brief peak).

    The higher the revs, the more air your engine is using, so your turbos can't keep up with peak boost.
