Two weeks ago, after an oil change and turbo clean the engine on my 1997 1.9 TDI ran away. It revved out of control for about 20 seconds and then the auxiliary belt snapped. The engine then gently died.

Having replaced the belt and VAG COM'ed it I have not been able to get her to start.

The engine turns over nicely on the key but will not fire. I have had all 4 injectors out, cleaned then and bled them, but still she won't fire.

Has anybody ever experienced this and is there anything I can do.

All help very much appreciated.

Cheers,

Beef

Get a compression check done on the cylinders. If you are low on compression then it probably won't fire

Yeah mine is not a diesel but had the exact same problem would run on the key, found out after a compression check there was none...
