Need Cat converter replacement -Audi or After mkt

Need help here: A4 2.8 97' 114K

My Audi dealer confirmed I need to replace the catalytic converter, to correct the rattling sound under the car. Dealer recommends taking the car to outside after mkt vendor to replace parts for a lessor expense than dealer ($1300). After mkt vendor is charging $1100 to do the job. Is it worth the $200 savings in the long run to use parts other than Audi?

I recently fitted an aftermarket cat convertor (+ gasket -pipe to manifold & coupling piece - cat to rear pipe) on the R/H side to my 1996 A4 2.6 Quattro,the shape was slightly different to the original.The car seemed to have been running weak when the Cat was rattling,(the inside of the exhaust was a light grey & power was down)the inside of the exhaust became the normal black colour & power was back to normal after about 100mls.
Retail price was £250,as I get Trade price it was somewhat less,removal/fitting took about 1 hour.
