    couple of questions

    i have two questions to ask
    1... some time when i insert the key into ignition turning to start engine i have trouble with the imobiliser de activating
    some times it deactivates straight away.
    but then another day it could take several trys to de activate
    any ideas on what this could be

    2.... i have oil in my pipe work to and from the intercooler
    why ?

    1. The reader coil is playing up which is a common problem with A4's, there is a DIY fix if you do a search, but try adjusting the steering column up & down.
    Mine did this for a few months then the problem went away.

    i had it also you need to find the wires coming from the key reader in the barrel and remove them from the loom you want to have the wire as far away from other wires as pos.

    if your car came with spare keys try those.

    i had similiar problem i put the key in turn it and the car would just cut off! even if had my foot on the accelerator nothing worked.

    every garage giving me a different answer, some saying immobiliser, some saying ignition coils. in the end it turned out to be just the key!

    try that first.

    thanks guys tried spare keys same problem with those
    but will try the wire position and do a self fix search
    any ideas on the other problem with the oil in my intercooler pipe
