I recently fitted a set of 17" 'star' audi alloys to my A4, I went the other day and got a brand new set of Kumho tyres fitted. However ever since I did that, when I turn left around a corner that is not level I get this scraping sound from the right rear wheel. Anybody any idea what this is? I was thinking maybe its related to the car being up on a lift and has disturbed something? I dont know.

Any help would be muchly appreciated.
Tom.

Check the tyres to see if they are buffing. If they are you will have scuff marks on the side wall or top edge of tread on the car. Check the inside arch as well to see if it is the inside tyre wall closest to the inside of the tyre.

What size of tyres are you running?

They are 235/45/17. However I had the same size tyre on for a few weeks before and there was no problems.

Try sticking that wheel on the front to see if there is any vibration through the steering may be a buckeld wheel or not balanace right so it might not be running 100% true.

Ah good plan, Ill try that. Thanks mate.
