Hi there im new the Audi scene, i have just bought a RS4 bodied 1.8T Sport. It needs a lil bit of paint work but other than that its really sound as i bought it off an Audi Tec and it has a service history all the way throught to its current milage.

Anyway i have a few questions i need answering.

The car its self is tuned and has had a remap (dont know what type) I need to know if i can use my Apexi AVCR to control boost??
Also i was wondering if there was any way of running a BOV on this car?? It has a Baily recirc on it at the mo... but i want to use either my HKS Or Blitz BOV's.

Thanks

Andy

Ps. i should have got an Audi years agao when i had the chance :icon_thumright:

Get some pics up, I wanna see this RS4 body.

It a real RS4 body or the Rieger kit. Hope its not the latter.

Yeah I am sure ChrisS3 has one on his S3. A few people have fitted them in the US also, or if not the AVCR a similar one.

To fit a blow off valve just buy a bailey fitting kit. It moves the valve over to the cold side, which is the pipe which runs from the intercooler to the throttle body.

Oh and welcome.

Thanks for that :icon_thumright: Its got the genuine rs4 metal wings on the front and a renuine bumper and grill. The *** end has had the arches welded on then fillered over, the rear bumper is a wide body type, may have to find a genuine rs4 one and some ally mirrors

Ill get some pix up as soon as i have unpacked my camera (just moved)

Im going to hunt down the ECU pin outs as i need them for the AVCR fitting. The HKS BOV has the pip fitting kit already on it, just need to know if there is any issues running to atmo rather than the re-circ.

Look forward to them!! Get it unpacked pronto!

Some people say there are issues but loads of guys on here have them, as do I and have never had a problem.

Oooooh another RS4 bodied A4 now that I have to see.

I have to ask what you paid for her if you don't mind and get them pic's up soon dam tel me where you live and I will take the pic's for you.:sign_pics:

Anyway :sign_welcome:, you will feel right at home here for sure .

Nice one andy, welcome to the mad house, get some pics up fella.

chris

i so want to make mine a wide boy but i just cant find the parts for an RS4 cheap. i wouldnt mind going the DTM look but yet again no one makes a kit

doc do you remember the silver A4 with the custom wide arch kit which the guy made himself out of sheet steel? i cant find any pics of this car anymore there was a write up once but that seems to have gone from the net as well.

Here you go Link

The HKS is a pull off type valve, it mostly used on Jap cars and has high success rates with older cars with gated style AFM's due to the design of the BOV. Its better than the Baily twin piston one as it guarentees no let by on idle or on boost.

Only reason i im using it is because i have the BOV and Boost controler of my last car :)

Pix will be along in a mo camera has been found and i dont have to go to work :rockwoot:

Lol hi there sorry havent posted pix's yet... Was caught up with my girlfriends sister giving birth so as you can imagen its been a mad few days.

Very nice fella and i do like the colour!!!!!

want an RS4 kit now instead of the S4

Very nice looking! First mod you should ditch the RS4/S4 badge.

First rule of car modding never badge your car to be something its not. I have lost count of the amount of "M3's" that i have torn to bits in my 1.8T Sport. LOL

Very nice but I'm going to have to burst your bubble and tell you thats not an OEM RS4 kit; the front may be but the back sure is not and the biggest give away is the doors and then the shape of the arches.

Need some spacers my man to fill them arches out or more offset rims.

I saw this advertised some months ago or even as far as a year ago.

You got some pics of the rear bumper to see what you have?

I'm thinkin doc I'm thinking!!!!

where and how much for bits??

Bit's..... hunt ebay pref German ebay and post up over on RS246.com as some people come by parts all the time.

You could buy the Seidl Tuning kit but thats not cheap and I think OEM is best.

My pal has a genuine RS4 bumper for sale if anyone is interested.

Looks good. Needs some spacers though (25mm or something) and some one piece headlights like on the newer models.

Oh and the RS badge whipped off.

That is how i got it lads badges will come off when the paint work gets done. Propper 25mm spacers are on order from germany that bolt to the hub and turn it to a stud conversion :icon_thumright:

The *** end is rep stuff i have some sort of tuv approved rear arches that were grafted on, i have the instructions for fitting and pix of the fitting.

The rear bumper is the only let down as its almost just a std looking one... i really need the rs4 rear one as it will look so much better.

The front arches are metal wings and the bumper is deffo genuine so no probs there :) Im not bothered at all if its genuine or not really as it looks the nuts and i like it :rockwoot:Its not a RS4 and once the badges come off it wont be trying to be one :icon_thumright:

Any other sugestions lads??:icon_thumright::icon_thumright:

Fitting an RS4 bumper is a major job you would be better to do what I did and buy a facelift S4 rear bumper and heat the sides th blend follow the wide arches.

Show us a pic of your rear bumper then :) i dont know what the s4 one looks like.

Looks real nice as is IMO. Great colour too, the only thing I'd change is maybe the lights as suggested but good choice.
I can't believe the lengths some of you Guys go to when modding your cars, I'd never be that brave but then again I guess your results speak volumes - in a good way of course :)

Here you go.
