:think: i am going to take the throttle housing off the car to spray some carb cleaner in to it and give it a good clean out. would i have to get it recalibrated afterwards or could i just bang it straight back on after i clean it. thanks in advance chaps
 
think u need to take the bat lead off first
 
i think there is also a gasket to buy first aswell, thats what i got told any way!

jsut do it with the engine running, cleans a few other things out too!!
 
if you do it using the key method it resets the valve to the learned positions which don't take into account any wear / movement in the body or flap. if you take the battery off all the learned values are erased and then it'll do a full callibration. under normal circumstances the key method will be fine but if you think something has got disturbed then the battery method is going to give better results
 
when you put it back on, the car will do it automatically.
