Hi, My A4 has or seems to have an interior monitor system.
There is a switch in the pillar drivers side that seems to operate as per
the handbook.
After arming the alarm and waiting a few mins I wave my hand over the sensors (fitted in the pillar i think) but no affect.
Alarm works if door opened .

any help please,

Regards,

Richard

If you are in the car when you arm the alarm, you have to remain perfectly still for around 30 sec's, or the sensor wont arm.

O.K I will try that, what about if I leave the window open just so I can
get my hand in, should that set the alarm off.

yup, that should do it.

you can adjust the sensitivity of the interior sensor with Vag-Com, might be that a previous owner has had it reduced because of false alarms, kids or dogs in the car etc. sounds like you need someone to have a look at it for you
