1.9tdi to 2.5?

Hi all, was thinkin of buyin my sisters 98 a4(b5) but was wondering how hard it would be to fit a 2.5 tdi engine into it. It currently is a 110 1.9tdi, what is required and is it a direct fit??? Also the abs light and airbag light is on...will this car be need to brought to audi???

Why bother, firstly you've got an audi by the looks of it. A3 05 reg. Secondly it's not worth the money, If for arguments sake the engine was £1000, you'd spend at least that having it fitted! in which case it's not worth doing to a 1998.

Sell the car. I though about dropping an S4 engine in a 2.8 but in the end i saw sense and just bought one, that way you don't have your car in a garage for a week, don't have to worry about incompatability issues, ECU reprogramming etc...

well suppose so, i was goin to do abit of work to it and sell it on but at first i tho it would be alot of hassle as well...no project car now lol
