STEERING / ELECTRICAL PROBLEM!?!??! HELP NEEDED!?!?!?

First fault with the Avant then on the cards at the moment.....

The steering on the Avant seems to have made noises when your going from right to left just at the bottom of the steering wheel and I haven't thought much of it but now when you turn hard lock into a parking space for example the car's electrics seem to stall, the dash lights illuminate (battery, etc) and the steering becomes heavy, then all of a sudden it's fine?

Seems like the power steering goes off when the electrics lights come on?!?!?

This is very strange and I was wondering if anyone has any advice......

your power steering pump will draw power from the engine if it is faulty, has low fluid, belts are not tight or your alternator is not working properly.

What you are experiencing is at the highest workload point of the power steering and it is drawing power from the other parts of the car.

check all the above, simple belt test and fluid levels first.
