dipping low

when the revs come down from being higher than 1k the revs where dropping down below 1k then goin back up to around 850.
i took the battery off 2day and put it back on after 30 mins
then tried the ignition on 4 30 secs thing
now the revs drop and go back up three times before they settle.
the drive is still smooth but the revs do this everytime.
i have fitted the n75j valve and 710n diverter ages ago though

It could be a dirty MAF as it sounds as if the revs are hunting then settling.

yep its the maf. ive just changed mine as it was doin my head in and i didnt wana totally **** it by attempting to clean it so i just traded my old 1 in 4 £70 at euro car parts and sorted it
