Just fitted a boost gauge and got it reading the car has supposedly been remapped by star performance, its spiking at 9psi then falling back to 5psi I'm thinking the actuator is possibly on its way out any ideas?????

Trying to get manifold for the T28 to fit if not gonna sell it and buy a K04, which is the correct unit to get?

If you have connections in the States, why not try and go for one of the ATP eliminators - GT2X ($1295)

Thats what I fancy doing. Is the K04-15 not limited to around 240bhp? If so it hardly seems worth the bother for £800.

The snag being that although the Garrett is a straight bolt on, you would need to get injectors and software.

there is a guy from the seat forum who has one for sale, a GT2x thinkin gof buying it off him, then getting the injectors and the software later.

think its the way to go fella

Its the Ibizia the turbo was on, is there anyone near me with VAG COM???

was looking at changing the n75, the car seems to surge at times too, read somewhaere its a sign that the N75 is on its way out. Looking at the N75J, might get one ordered this weekend wheres the best place to order from??

if you start swapping parts to try to locate this fault you could end up well out of pocket, you need either a specialist or someone with vag-com

Ahh, the old fault chasing scenario, remember it well with my old VR6. Brilliant way of modifying your car without the girlfriend realising! She still thinks my trip from Leeds to Banbury (MRC) was a last resort following the full stainless custom exhaust (only option to fix my blowing OEM one, despite it ending up louder!) bored out and polished throttle body (only way to fix hesitation under load, love  ) and 2.9 (polished) inlet manifold (I 'had' to put that on to get it running right... :eyebrows: ) The bigger push in the back I came back with was just a bonus! ;)

Good job they don't realise costs isnt it,lol

lol, sounds like the guy on RS246 who wanted to upgrade his alloys but couldn't justify them to his wife. the advice was to lend her the car for a few days then when it came back with the inevitable kerb rash he could buy his new wheels with impunity as his wife had "ruined" the originals.

hmmmmmmmmm, now if only i could get her to pop one of my turbos..........
