Hi everyone,

Could someone please point me in the direction of a reliable place to get my A4 serviced in the NW London area and an idea of possible costs?

Thanks

i dont know anyone in london , but can tell you that ive just booked my 2.8 quattro in for next friday at main dealer and its going to cost me £325 all (incl parts, labour etc) and im getting a courtesy car for the day. and this isnt the big service either

i could of had it done monday but wouldnt of been able to have the car as they were all booked out

So what would you suggest as an alternative AndyMac?,

And how much do you pay for example? (I cant be bothered doing it myself)

I serviced my own a4 avant last week, it has full service history but i'm not getting stitched up by the stealers, oil change was easy cost me £25 for the oil and new filter, drained off my fuel filter.. again easy, checked gearbox oil level and greased up all the hinges which is basically what they do anyway on a service.
Only thing that needs doing is the cambelt which i will pay out to get done.

Find a VAG specialist, they use OEM parts (jurid, bosch, mann etc) but they don't pay to have the 4 rings painted onto them. Labour rates are also half what a dealer will charge. You'll actually get a better service as well as most independents actually care about the work they do unlike dealers who really aren't interested in anything out of warranty.
I paid £156 for a 10k service on my 2.8Q, and £366 for last big service but this included new rear discs & pads.

my exact same approach. i paid a local garage £250 to do the cambelt. other then that i do the maintence. recently spent £60 on a full set of fliters and fluids for the service, and vag-com'd her too.
