removal of seats

I've air bags in the seat and I need to take them out to clean the carpets.

Will this cause any problems with the ECU or leaveme with an airbag warning light on the dash???

Not as long as you do it with the ignition off and don't turn it on until the seats are reconnected. Disconnect the battery to be doubly sure.

took the seats off the rails and angled up the seat to unplug it as andy says dont switch on ignition i done this on sunday with no problems in my case i didnt need to disconnect the battery

Think its a splined bit in order to remove the rails
