wiring to seat

Hi my new leather seats have a electric lumbar adjustment on both passenger and drivers.
Whats the best way to run power to the seats? hopefully i dont have to run it to the battery.
i dont know it they have have a permanent live or not?

It'll be ignition on live. They'll draw quite a bit of current as well I imagine so I'd run a fused supply to the 75x terminals above the drivers footwell if there's one that's switched with the ignition.

i assume the other connection is earth?

also where do you source your spade connectors halfords are so expensive for small amount
i need assortment on spade different sizes etc.

I would do it one of two ways.

1st I would say use a relay using the main power from the live power bar under the drivers side removing the lower dash and using the ignition as the on and off feed for the relay.

2nd Go straight to the power bar and just have a fuse so the seats are live all the time.

Buy a new relay.

This company are good but they have a minimum order, always buy some heat shrink, much better for covering terminals, soldering etc than tape.
My electric lumbar support works with the ignition off and they key out BTW

Any 12v relay will do the job, but a bit unnecessary, just a fused lead from the 75x terminal is fine. You only use a relay when the trigger is low current.
