We always moan about mpg! but I was fiddling and noticed my average mph is always 31mph. And that's including doing a ton everywhere I can on decent roads. It's the commute that ruins it.

Day to day, on average i get between 28 and 29 MPG and i do rag it about as much as poss.

Got a chip and filter as well if that makes any odds....

MPH != MPG

Mines normally around 24. Pretty irrelavent measurement really as you can blast it down a nice road then sit at some lights for 5 mins and its gone :p

I average 26 ish.

When i did a track day i reset it and got 27 mpg out of a whole tank with lots of redlining and idle periods!!!!

I think it likes going fast!:respekt:

average speed 36mph
average mpg 24.4, although i once got 26mpg out of 1 tankful
what are other quattro's averaging?
i usually get about 280 mile to the tankful!

Average MPH is 29 (Stevenage is home of the roundabout AND the speed ramp) MPG is usually around 31 - 33...

av mph - 27
av mpg - 27! mostly round town motoring with 2 or 3 20mile trips on a motorway ( but usually driven hard)

not too bad for a v6! :racer:

I guess so. My wife said i was heavy footed when i was getting 22mpg from my ford escort 1.6. I thought there was something wrong with the car myself, sold it and Bought the Audi expecting to get the same or better. I was wrong- its my driving!

Anyhow selling it and going for a 1.6 something running on LPG! should get 50 miles for the price of the 18 i'm getting now. More costwise because i only pay for Shell V Fuel. 95.9 against the 42.9! lol

you must have lead boots on!!! that is v poor!! and on a parr with a mates s4!!!

I get 23mpg out of my S4 and that's driving 3 miles to work in rush hour traffic. he does know there's another 4 gears after he's got into second doesn't he?

average speed is 27, not bad really considering the driving i do to work and back

****** hell, now that's excellent! just shows how different each car is! i previously had 2.0 litre sierra's and they only did 20 - 25mpg? they do say though that re-mapping can improve mpg.

ps his car has a non audi ecu which was designed to give power above all else. may have something to do with it?

Urban/Town = Average 26.1mpg 19mph. Slowest here so far, and its not that busy when I drive to work and back.
Long distance = 32-34mpg 55+mph (300 mile trip).

mph is generally 47, 1000 miles this weekend (been to Cornwall again) mph 58, mpg 33 over the last 55000 miles, this weekend 36
:)

18.8 mpg actually so says the computer- round town that is. It's Tiptronic so that uses a little extra i suppose. I must just be a manic like my wife keeps telling me. ;)
