Any 2.5 tdi Quattro owners?

Hi, do you own a 2.5 tdi Quattro?
I am hoping to get an Avant version of one of these and would appreciate any comments from those who have them on any issues that I should look out for.
I have been recommended to get a facelift version, what is this?
Any bugs, faults, problems I should look out for when buying one?
What colour should I avoid?
etc etc etc
Any other info would be great.
