Question Small cap for the very centre hole of an alloy?

    Hello all,

Anyone know of an Audi cap that will fit just the very centre of the Avus alloys, where the original cap clips in, but just a circular cap to cover that hole/stop water etc?

have you tried the centre cap thats fitted on the standard 5 spoke alloys that came on the 2.8/1.8 quattros? as that one is much smaller

    No. At least not yet.

I am pretty sure the centre hub nut hole is a standard size. Anyone with alloys that have just the centre hole capped but not the bolts covered by a centre cap probably have the part I am after.

I am really after a part number or an exact model they were fitted to so I have some chance of ordering the correct part.

Have you a pic of the wheel you mean?

IMO the proper centre caps for these wheels look best. Why do you want the nuts exposed??

If they were original Audi parts then yes something like that, as long as they are clip in not self adhesive.

I will be buying new original centres, but IMO they are pretty poorly made and the paint flakes off as the paint just stops at the edge, they are not painted all over.

I was just pondering a different solution.

what about protecting the edges of the caps with a coat or 2 of clear varnish or poss a thick clear wax? even a rub over with a wax candle would offer some protection to the edges! if the centrecaps off the standard A4 competition wheels dont fit try and source the ones off the audi A8 polished wheels as these are just a wee bit smaller
