Repair aircon pipe?

The high pressure pipe running out of the bulkhead and under the battery has sprung a leak. It looks like this is one pipe that runs all the way to the front of the car with no joints. Audi have quoted £96 plus vat for the pipe.
Is it possible to repair / patch aircon pipes?
Want to reduce the cost of a new pipe, fitting and then re-gas.

Found a local company that may be able to repair the pipe, or at least make a new one at the fraction of the cost of Audi. Will post when I have stripped it from the car and see the next step...

I've been offered the AC pipes from a 2.8v6 A4 - does anyone know if these will fit?

I'm guessing they will as they are both from a facelift B5...
