i like the s4 badges better than the A4 and 1.8t plus it looks alot cleaner on the back of the car with only one badge on the left BUT will it look SAD on a 1.8T ?

Incredibly sad, worse than an M3 badge on a 316i
It's not even vaguely the same engine, let alone anything else.

Ah but what if you had this under the bonnet of your 2.8Q?

Would that still be sad of just an indication that all is not as it seems !!

perhaps, but those who knew their Audi's would know that there is only 2.7T not 2.8T Hence why i did'nt do it.

I did find a 2.7T engine on ebay for 1500 but its not worth it, by the time you've paid for fitting etc... and thats if it goes to plan.

Hence why I bought this one of my mate after he had already spent all of his cash

The other end looks like this

Part of me wants to leave it alone as a real sleeper.

The other part of me wants to rebadge it so I can say as I go past,

i bought the new style s4 badge which has seperate s and 4 badges and removed all the other badges and only fitted the s part of the badge becuase my car is a quattro sport, it looks ok to me and keeps people guessing as to what you have

My S4 has the little tiny badge that looks, to all intents and purposes, like the current S-Line badges, so unless your in the know, I would imagine people thinking that I stuck it onto the car myself.

Until they try to overtake, that is....

i don't mind down-badging, it can be a good way to ensure scroats leave your pride and joy alone but badging up is just chav. i see a burgandy A4 on my way to work on a morning with RS badges all over it that just looks stupid since everyone can see there's nothing special about it.

I have seen a escort mk3 5 door with RS badges all over it, a pea shooter exhaust and again steel rims! HA HA HA i thought! as i tried to pass it the fookin thing took off like a banshee? turns out it has a cossie engine under that shell! (i was VERY embarrased)

the only badges i have are the Quattro badge on the dash and another Quattro badge on my (RS4) grille! does that make me a chav?

Anyone who has a powerful car normally takes the badges off.

It doesn't always look right though. I thought about sticking a 1.6 or 1.8 on the back of mine but if you look at the car when i bought it, it just wouldn't look right with a bodykit. And now after all the changes i'd be fooling no one. Out comes the full closeure steering lock again!

I appreciate that many motorists will know what a GTE kit is, but there were still some people who took the 1.4 badge at face-value,.........................I know because I had a good few wind their windows down and tell me as much LOL!!

did buy s4 badges for mine to put on after fitting the s4 bumpers+skirts, but to be fair, hibiscus red is an s4 colour and with my interior, s4 steering wheel and the V6 it would look and sound exactly like one. anyway i didnt. it has no badges on it now and i like it that way, although i have had someone say - 'nice s4 mate' !!
