When does the turbo kick in?

Hi guys, can someone tell me at what rev does the 1.8T turbo kick in? It's so smooth I can't feel the lag... Thanks, Jules

are those numbers for the A4? or S4? they sound more like S4 numbers... could be wrong tho. I thought 1.8t turbo "kicked in" a little highter than 1800

max torque on an S4 is at 1850rpm, i'm sure the 1.8T is higher than that. obviously the turbo will kick in earlier than that but you'll get that real shove in your back at 1850rpm on the S4.
