how do speakers come out on parcel shelf

i want to get the speakers out of the parcel shelf to measure to get new ones but they dont seem to want to come out, i darent tug at them too hard , does any one know how they come out, cheers in advance

I thnk you have to remove the rear seat and parcel shelf.

Don't try and prise off the grills they are riveted to the shelf cover. You need to drop the backs of the seats (if you can) and pop up the carpeted cover and slide out remembering to unplug the cyclops brake light. The speakers are front loaded into the metal deck, just to be annoying. You then need adapter rings to fit aftemarket units as the hole is a peculiar shape/profile.

Nice one! I was about to ask the same question.. Looks like a previous owner has tried to prise off the grills off mine as one is cracked!
